Institute for Agricultural and Forest Environment Polish Academy of Sciences

The Institute for Agricultural and Forest Environment (IAFE) of Polish Academy of Sciences in Poznań (former name: Research Centre for Agricultural and Forest Environment) is the only research institute in Poland engaged in a unique, integrated research of the environment of the countryside. The broad range of explorative areas of the Institute throughout its existence has embraced climate and water resources, climate change impacts, extreme weather events, geochemical cycles, biodiversity, landscape structure, biogeochemical barriers, and sustainable development. The Institute’s location in a strong academic and technological centre (Poznań) has always resulted in interdisciplinary research and cooperation between scientists and practitioners.
